Literacy experts Wendy Carr and Bev Anderson will facilitate the day and lead you through practical, hands-on activities to help you develop effective literacy practices in the classroom. They will focus on oral language development and they will also model how assessment and differentiation strategies can be integrated into your lessons.

During this year’s Semaine de la francophonie (National French Week held yearly in March), Radio-Canada in Manitoba (radio, TV and Internet) will take stock of French-language services in Manitoba with a series of reports, as well as a discussion group.

Hands-on workshops are between 30-50 minutes in length and can include up to 30 students, plus staff. Everyone gets an authentic instrument to play. Shows are a 50-minute interactive assembly performance for the whole school featuring instruments from around the world. It’s a fantastic learning experience! www.worldbeatdrumming.com
